We scored every provider we track on licensing, pricing honesty, clinical rigor, cancellation friction, and complaint resolution. Here's who passed — and who didn't.
Why we built this scorecard
We track 43+ telehealth providers across eight care categories. Most comparison sites are funded by the providers themselves. We earn commissions from some of the platforms we review — but we also review providers we earn nothing from, and we criticize providers we do earn from when they deserve it.
This scorecard evaluates every tracked provider on five dimensions that matter most to patients — and that providers most often obscure.
The five scoring dimensions
| 1. Licensing transparency | Does the provider publicly identify prescribers, pharmacy partners, and state licensing? Or is it a black box? |
| 2. Pricing honesty | Does the advertised price match what you actually pay at Month 6? Are consult fees, shipping, and membership charges disclosed upfront? |
| 3. Clinical rigor | Does the intake process screen for contraindications? Does the provider require labs when clinically indicated? Is there a real prescriber in the loop? |
| 4. Cancellation friction | Can you cancel online in under 2 minutes? Or does it require a phone call, a retention pitch, or a buried link? |
| 5. Complaint resolution | When something goes wrong — delayed shipping, billing error, wrong medication — how does the provider respond? What do Trustpilot and BBB complaints actually say? |
How we score: Each dimension is rated 1–5. Total score out of 25. Providers scoring below 15 receive a 'caution' flag. Below 10 receives a 'not recommended' designation. We re-evaluate quarterly.
GLP-1 providers: top scorers
Sesame Care consistently scores highest for licensing transparency because it prescribes FDA-approved brand-name medications exclusively — removing the compounding compliance question entirely. Among compounded providers, Yucca Health and Embody score well on pricing honesty with dose-locked rates and no hidden fees.

ED & men's health: top scorers
The ED telehealth market has the widest price dispersion of any category we track — generic sildenafil ranges from under $3/dose on some platforms to $45+ on others. Maximus and Care Bare Rx offer multi-vertical men's health platforms where ED treatment is part of a broader clinical relationship, not a one-off pill mill.
For TRT, Maximus and Feel30 both require bloodwork — a clinical standard that many telehealth TRT platforms skip entirely. If your provider isn't ordering labs before prescribing testosterone, that's a red flag.

What the scorecard revealed
Three patterns emerged across all 43 providers:
Pricing opacity is the norm, not the exception. More than half of the platforms we track do not disclose their full pricing on their website. You have to complete an intake form — sometimes providing payment information — before seeing the real cost. We consider this a failure of basic transparency.
Clinical rigor varies dramatically by category. GLP-1 and TRT providers generally ask more screening questions than ED platforms, many of which skip contraindication screening entirely for PDE5 inhibitors.
Cancellation is the worst-kept secret. Several providers that advertise "cancel anytime" actually require a phone call to a retention team, a 48-hour notice period, or both. We document the exact cancellation process for every provider we review.
